Glimpses of the Past; Heritage to the Old South is a new historical novel, written with true events and dates. The characters are fictitious. An American family travel from Northern Virginia to New Orleans, Louisiana. Centered around the era of Civil War days with few books before it giving detail and sequence to a devastating time to this nation. It is a book to read if you love history or a history buff. Sketches are by artist Dannie Michelle Wright. Below is an original sketch for front cover design. Book should be released by Christmas or shortly afterwards.

I’m glad it helped your son with his studies. Our family has recorded journals of events and happenings in our lives. The journals have been kept over the years, making several albums of documented historical research. Getting the materials in hand are one half of the battle.
