What Is Your Dominant Desire?

A fun activity that takes about two minutes or less. http://games.xfinity.com/quizzes-games?game=elizabethmiller10/what-is-your-dominant-desire-based-on-what-you-see

Mine is hope. “While the cynical souls of the world may see your bright optimism as a youthful naivete, you have come to understand that it is the hope of a better tomorrow that burns within you. You are passionate and idealistic. You understand that there is so much potential surrounding us, and we have only to tap into it in order to achieve great things. When others are burdened by the troubles of every day life, you transcend them and consider the beauty that the future brings. Your bright disposition infects everyone around you, as they too learn how to dream. As long as hope is alive within you, you will always be the very best that you can be!”

Cloudy Weekend – In More Ways Than One

29 Saturday Aug 2015

Blogging

It’s a cloudy Saturday with an overcast. I’m sitting here, typing on the computer. The computer glitch is fixed. Jeremy at WP emailed me back yesterday and told me what to do. Apparently, my emails (blogs I subscribe to) were blocked from postings. It must have been recently and done in error. Anyway, all is right now and my numbers are back up again. Still not as high as expected.

My manuscript is delayed (3 – 4 weeks) due to editorial assessment. I’m having a second set of eyes look at it line by line. Although not a great volume of pages, I want a well-edited book. Right now, I feel like going into hiding – really! After my next book, the collection of poetry, this may be my last book to publish. I’m not discouraged from writing. The whole damn process and steps to publishing gives me a headache. Writing a dissertation 12 to 13 years ago was a little bit easier!

I will slowly “lick my wounds” and drink a cup of coffee. That always relaxes me. Hope everyone has a good weekend and hope to hear from you soon. Anne

Hope everyone is having a great week. Looking forward to the weekend. I’m not getting any posts today. (?) For the past two weeks, I noticed my number of posts declining significantly. I thought it was because I was out of commission pretty much in July and part of August. Either no one likes me or I have a computer glitch of some sort. I have emailed WP to inquire about the zero posts. Humph! If you left a comment with me lately and don’t get a response, you will know why now.

Poetry Book Is Coming Along!

My fifth manuscript, Gentle Rain of Thoughts, is coming along. I am about 3/4 finished with written poems, haiku and free verse poetry. It is a combination of poems I have written this year. I am hoping to complete it by this fall season and published into a book.

In the meantime, I’m still waiting on Editorial Content Assessment on fourth book, Wounded Heart In Flight. I hope to hear something from my publishers next week. Patience is not one of my virtues but hopefully it will be very soon.

I leave you with one of the poems I recently wrote in my book. It is a scene in my latest novel (in production now) between the main characters, David and Julia. Copyright – Anne R. Murray @annepm2015

My Sweet Angelheavenly_angel_by_isadorablumentanz-d49ggba

Goodnight, my sweet angel,
Lovely as you are,
Lying next to me.
Am I dreaming?
Or in a mere fantasy?

It is like a melody,
In a hymnal no less,
Like a ballad,
In a romantic song,
You are so wonderful.

It has taken a long time,
For me to find you,
Then like magic you appear,
Before my eyes,
Pretty as a picture.

My words say little,
My mouth does not speak,
But I feel you know,
What I want to say,
In this tender moment.

Goodnight, my sweetheart,
The hour is late,
As you fight back sleep.
I watch your face,
So peaceful and bright.

I am just an average man,
Wanting to make sweet
love to you,
You make me complete
and whole,
Please give yourself to me.

I am weak,
So very weak,
When it comes to
being with you,
I can’t help myself.

I am in love,
With this beautiful
woman by my side,
And no one can take
that away from me.

Your love means
everything to me.
I just want to hold you,
And never let you go,
As you come close to me.

Goodnight, my darling,
May you sleep well tonight,
As you close your eyes.
I will be here when you
awake in the morning.

Alas, we sleep,
May our bodies unite,
As one together.
Our love is beautiful,
As you are, my sweet angel.

What Can I Say – Harsh Reality?

Blogging

Today is Friday again. It seems like the summertime has flown by so fast here. While I work on yet another book for publishing, I keep thinking I need to slow down some. The work has tired me out this summer. That and other things, infusions, physical therapy and various activities. My health seems to go up and down lately, reminding me to stop everything and simply rest.

My numbers in stats have declined considerably in the past week. I realize that I haven’t heard from Harsh Reality. His blog usually brings in the followers and networking traffic. While I don’t always agree with his opinion, I do follow his blog. He seems to attract the general audience. He uses truth (sometimes bluntly) and it does wake me up to another viewpoint. I think that is refreshing as I don’t expect all bloggers to be 100% in agreement all the time.

Other than that, all is all right in the world. Still working on power seat. It doesn’t seem that insurance will provide based on my latest physical therapy evaluation. However, I am working on getting a good, used one now. Time will tell soon, hopefully.

Wishing all bloggers and readers a good weekend. Stay in touch and I look forward to hearing from you. Anne

Lazy Mondays!

Blogging, Social Media

Hey guys, I usually have bunches of posts (like hundreds) in my email on Mondays. Today, I had less than 30 posts in total. Did something happen that I’m unaware of? Or is it just a lazy Monday?

BTW, I had an allergic reaction to infusions given last Wednesday and Thursday. I woke up on Saturday morning swollen, particularly in my face and eyes, with a fever and a bad headache. Not sure why a fever, unless I didn’t take enough Tylenol before infusions. Fevers are common reactions to the treatments. I also was nauseated/vomiting Saturday night and my b/p was high.

Anyway, I took some Benadryl and it seems to be much better today. I took a prescription for the nausea and the b/p and all is back to normal now. I would like to take a break from infusions and switch to steroids (daily oral medication) for awhile. I will find out more when I see my doctor again in September.

Hope that everyone is doing well at this time and had a good weekend. I want to hear from you bloggers. Please give me a hoot over the Internet or post me something.  Anne

Reblogged  from Dream Big, Dream Often for Meet n’ Greet. Please visit her blog and read her amazing posts.

Dream Big, Dream Often

Ok so here are the rules:IMG_7051

  1. Leave a link to your page or post in the comments of this post.
  2. Reblog this post.  It helps you, it helps me, it helps everyone!  So don’t be selfish, hit the reblog button.
  3. Edit your reblog post and add tags (i.e. reblogging, reblog, meet n greet, link party, etc.), it helps, trust me on this one.
  4. Share this post on social media.  Many of my non-blogger friends love that I put the Meet n Greet on Facebook and Twitter because they find new bloggers to follow.  This helps also, trust me.
  5. And if you leave a link and don’t follow me, how about ya show ole Danny some love?
  6. Call the mayor of your hometown and have him pronounce this weekend as the official weekend of the “Dream Big Meet n Greet!”  This might take some persistence, but don’t you dare give…

Blogging

It has been an eventful and busy month already. Had infusions on Wednesday and Thursday this week. All went well on both days. Having little or no reactions this time. Yeah!

My newest novel has passed the Submission Stage and moving into the Content Evaluation Stage. After two to three weeks, it should be ready for reviewing and editing. Then, hopefully it will be ready to go for publishing for release within 4 weeks. I am excited and looking forward to the finished product.

Starting my fifth book, a book composed of poetry. I have about 50 poems written so far. I will have to combine poems to make a complete book. I am hoping to have the book completed by this coming fall for publication.

In addition, I have another book sale on Saturday, September 5th, 1:00 to 3:00 p.m., at Dogwood Bookstore on Broad Street in Rome, GA. I will be joining my uncle, Robert Rakestraw, a fellow writer and author.

Other than that, I really have missed blogging. Hope everyone has a great weekend. Please send me a hello and keep in touch. I will keep you updated on publishing for future books.

Manuscript is finished!

The manuscript on my newest novel, Wounded Heart In Flight, is ready to go to the publishers. Today, I received the final sketching from the preliminary sketching from the artist. It will be placed in the interior of the book. Yesterday, I signed a written contract with the publishers. I am really pleased and happy, but excited at the same time to get production going fully. Thia has been several months coming. Patience is a virtue, which I admit I need more of these days. The sketch is by artist and painter, Dannie Hovanec. She is quite talented and does very good work. Dannie is in Colorado this summer and I live in Georgia, so everything is done electronically or by email. @Copyright – Anne R. MurrayScan 2
