About the Author

Writer and Author, I live in the metropolitan area of Atlanta, Georgia. I am a retired schoolteacher. I am lazy in retirement. I love laughter, family and friends, and creating books. I just started recently writing poetry and share some of these poems on my blog.

My pen name in Elizabeth A. Philips. Two of my nonfictional books written in 2013, As The Scarlet Tanager Sings and As The Sweet Honey Runs, will be under that name. You can research all my books at http://www.elizabethaphilips.com.

Please see About the Book page for books listed. A description of each book is given.

  2. Well timed follow, thanks. I just made a firm commitment to get back into my writing routine every day. Sounds SO understated – but yesterday I heard one of my favourite encouragers say routine will take you to where you want to go quicker than your passion. Congraturlations of being a published Author. Hope you are well on your way to healing. (Insert Cherie Calbom in search bar who speaks on auto immune from one of my previous posts. πŸ™‚

    • Anne, thanks for the response; visiting and reading my blog. Writing is a developed habit, which gets stronger with each day. I chose to start writing two years ago, due to the illness. Thanks for the information on insert (Cherie Calbom). I will have to check it out. Any materials on autoimmune is much appreciated. Anne πŸ™‚

    I do flash fiction here:

Where I usually just add a page at a time to different series that I have going.

I’ve had some of my poems published, but not ‘professionally’.
    Maybe someday…

  30. Had a quick look through some of your pages – I’m sorry to see you’ve been through the B.C mill, too, and also to read of your ongoing LEMS. It sounds hideous. I wish no-one ever had to go through any of it. I feel I have got off relatively lightly; post-breast cancer fibromyalgia suddenly doesn’t seem so bad in comparison to what you’re forced to deal with.

I sincerely wish you better health.

    • Thank you. I’ve accepted it but it is hard at times, quite challenging. There are good and bad days. I wish you well through your post-breast cancer illness too.

      • I admire you.

Thank you for your good wishes. My fibro isn’t the sort of illness that gets better, goes away, or even improves, it only gets worse. The breast cancer, as you probably know, is one of those that never clears completely, and the risk of secondaries is still there even after someone’s been clear of the primary cancer for 20 plus years. It’s an albatross. But I’m still here, so I’m grateful for that, and seeing what you’re dealing with puts it into perspective.

I wish you good health, too. And a big bunch of Happy! X
