Karen challenged me today to a First Post Challenge. Since this was an easy one with no sweat, I accepted and thank Karen for her nomination. Please visit her blog at https://shadebutnoshade.wordpress.com/ for wonderful stories. Instructions:
- Copy-paste, link, pingback or whatever way you want to, your first post.
- State what type of post that was. E.G. Introduction, Story, Poem
- Explain why that was your first post.
- Nominate 5 other bloggers. Five because I know the pain of opening a lot of tabs at once.
My first post was on New Year’s Day this year. I remember because I first started blogging over 6 months ago. An Introduction to my blog, I talked about why I named it The Writing Guide and what I was doing. Since then, I’ve changed the header a couple more times. I opened a blog for the first time in my life to promote my books. My sister had first suggested it to me a couple of months before. Writing has served so many purposes for me, including therapy. I also developed poetry skills since then.

I have also found writing to be therapeutic- it helps so much to get things out onto paper and then to be an onlooker. I must check out some of your poetry!

Please do! Writing is therapeutic because it sets closure to areas that were not closed or healed.

So true. Wonderful to think that we have a tool to bring about the process of healing in a tangible way
