I appreciate all the very kind and generous nominations and awards lately but I need to get down focusing on finishing my new novel. I have already delayed it a month and have had several interruptions in-between (infusions, emergency, illnesses). Please do not send anymore nominations or awards. I have had several lately and they seem to be repetitive in context. I really thank those for following, visiting and reading my blog, but please hold off for a while. It is just taken too much time when I want to read my email. Thanks so much.
All the reason I try to avoid them myself, gets me away from the whole reason I blog in the first place. I’m always flattered and feel like a jerk for saying no.

You are right, Gary! 🙂 I should have gone Award-free from the beginning. You shouldn’t feel like that but a good reason not to start saying yes.

I totally understand, Anne! Thank you for telling us. But you should never feel obliged to participate anyway. See it just as a sign of appreciation for you and your work from the nominator 🙂

Thanks Erika, I’m just having some health problems right now too. Going to neurologist tomorrow about immune system. It adds up!

I think the whole reward thing spams WordPress with out people realizing it. So I stay away from those things but I wish you the best of health and a strong finish with your novel writing ^_^

It certainly does, Antonio. For the last couple of days, I was afraid to even get on WP as I got a nomination. lol Thanks so much for your response. Seeing doctor tomorrow and hopefully, will have done some damage (finished) to my novel by next month.

Really – I texted 1-2 days ago on widget but people still ignored it. It sounds so mean and unflattering but it is not why I’m here on blog. 🙂

Sometimes they get overwhelming, but on the positive side, I’ve met some amazing bloggers through these awards. Also, I have some very good friends who have gone ‘award free’ on their blog, so that’s an option if you choose.

It sounds mean but I didn’t mean to offend anyone or trying to hurt feelings. I’ve met some remarkable people on this blog. Just a lot going on in my life right now – health, new novel and manuscript. I already feel a little overwhelmed just from that. I’m seeing the neurologist tomorrow too about reaction to infusions. Kind of scary and roller coaster ride right now.

I totally understand Anne and I know right now you need to focus on your novel and health! It is very important for you to do that! It is true they gets really overhelming at times especially if they are more than one! As Erika said you are not obligated to partecipate answering all the questions the nomination itself it is a great recognition from people that love your Blog! 🙂 wish you all the best and thanks for this post! 🙂

No problem. Just getting them all at once time and I need to cut back. I wasn’t trying to hurt anyone’s feelings though. I may go Award-free for a while. V-Pub suggested it and with other things going on, it’s an option. Seeing doctor for autoimmune disorder tomorrow – will update you on Friday probably unless in hospital (hope not).

I just thank people for nominating me and leave it at that. if you don’t write a post about the reward, you will soon find this is no longer an issue. cheers 😉

This is why I end up never doing any, because I just don’t have the time. I do appreciate them a ton though.
